We are a premium plush and lifestyle brand from China known for its distinctive designs, high-quality materials and emotionally engaging products. As we launch our first few retail stores in Malaysia, we are looking for an energetic and hands-on Store Manager to join us at an exciting stage of our growth.

This is more than a day-to-day store management role. You will be part of the pioneer team establishing our brand in Malaysia, with the opportunity to help build the operating standards for future stores.

Your Role

As Store Manager, you will take ownership of the overall performance and daily operations of the store, ensuring strong sales performance, excellent customer experience and consistent brand presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations & Sales

Manage the overall day-to-day operation of the store

Drive sales performance and achieve store sales targets and KPIs

Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Ensure excellent customer service and create a welcoming, engaging store experience

Handle opening/closing procedures, POS, cash management and daily reporting

Maintain high operational and service standards at all times

Team Leadership

Assist with recruitment and onboarding of retail staff

Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower requirements

Train, coach and motivate the retail team

Set clear sales and service expectations

Monitor individual and team performance and provide regular feedback

Inventory & Merchandising

Manage stock receiving, inventory movement, replenishment and stock counts

Monitor best sellers, slow-moving products and stock requirements

Minimise stock discrepancies, losses and damages

Ensure products are displayed according to our visual merchandising standards

Keep the store attractive, organised and commercially effective

Brand & Customer Experience

Represent our brand and ensure the brand is presented consistently

Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat purchases

Collect customer feedback and insights to help us better understand the Malaysian market

Support new product launches, seasonal campaigns, events and in-store activations

Work with management and the marketing team on promotions and store traffic initiatives

New Store & Business Development

Help establish SOPs and operating processes for our brand in Malaysia

Provide practical feedback on products, pricing, customer preferences and store performance

Support the opening and development of future stores as the business expands

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum 3 years of retail experience, preferably with supervisory or store management experience

Strong sales orientation with a track record of achieving targets

Hands-on, responsible and comfortable working in a growing business

Good leadership and people-management skills

Strong communication and customer service skills

Organised and comfortable managing inventory, reporting and store administration

Able to work retail hours, weekends and public holidays

Comfortable using POS systems and basic Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools
