Electrical Engineering Intern
Job Description
We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to support our engineering, solar PV and project operations.
The intern will gain hands-on exposure to electrical systems, site activities, technical documentation, troubleshooting and project coordination under the guidance of our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in daily electrical and project-related activities.
- Support solar PV projects, including site survey, installation monitoring, testing and commissioning.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layouts, technical drawings and project documentation.
- Assist with basic electrical calculations, load assessment and equipment selection.
- Support preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM) and material planning.
- Conduct site surveys and collect technical information, measurements and photographs.
- Assist in electrical inspection, testing and basic troubleshooting activities.
- Support engineers and technicians in identifying electrical faults and rectification requirements.
- Monitor project progress and assist with site coordination.
- Coordinate with technicians, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams where required.
- Assist in checking materials and equipment delivered to project sites.
- Prepare site reports, progress updates, testing records and supporting documentation.
- Support testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
- Assist with electrical maintenance and project rectification works.
- Support ongoing company projects, including TM-related electrical and technical works where required.
- Assist with meter inspection, testing, troubleshooting and related documentation under supervision.
- Ensure work is carried out according to safety requirements and company procedures.
- Perform other engineering or project-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and electrical safety.
- Able to read basic electrical drawings and SLDs is an advantage.
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
- Exposure to solar PV, electrical installation or testing is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Willing to learn and perform both office and site-based work.
- Able to communicate and work well with engineers, technicians and project teams.
- Responsible, punctual and able to follow instructions.
- Willing to travel to project sites when required.
- Possess own transport is an advantage.

Pay: RM600.00 - RM800.00 per month
