Job Purpose
The Senior Executive, Finance is responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions of the subsidiary of the company. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, sound cash flow management, and full compliance with statutory requirements to support operational efficiency and strategic decision making.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts
- Maintain full set of accounts in compliance with MFRS and statutory requirements
- Oversee manufacturing costing, inventory valuation, and production cost control
- Manage cash flow planning and financial analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Coordinate year-end closing and statutory audit processes
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations and reporting requirements
Job Responsibilities
1) Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Manage ful set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial reports, journal entries, and supporting schedules
- Monitor inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis
- Liaise with auditors and ensure timely year end closing
2) Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Prepare cash flow projections and monitor liquidity
- Manage payments, fund transfers, and banking matters
- Liaise with banks on financing documentation and facilities
3) Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to Management
- Support cost control initiatives and operational performance review
4) Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with MFRS, Companies Act 2016, and Malaysian tax regulations
- Liaise with tax agents on tax estimates, revisions, and statutory submissions
5) Ad-Hoc & Cross Functional Support
- Support Management with financial analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with operations and production teams
- Undertake additional finance related assignments as required
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or MIA) is an added advantage
- Sound knowledge of MFRS and Malaysian statutory requirements
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Proven experience in independently managing full set of accounts
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory management, and production cost analysis
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Familiarity with Malaysian tax regulations, SST compliance, and corporate reporting requirements
- Proficient in accounting systems (Autocount & Sage) and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytic, organizational, and problem solving skills
- High level of integrity, accountability, and ability to work independently under deadlines
