About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and curious IT Support Intern who wants to gain real-world experience in IT support and troubleshooting. You will work on actual Level 1 support cases in a client environment, with guidance from experienced engineers as you develop your technical skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 IT support to end users.
- Install, set up, configure and upgrade desktops, laptops, software and related IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot common hardware, software, application, printer and connectivity issues.
- Perform initial diagnosis and basic system/network connectivity checks.
- Assist with data migration and setup/relocation of IT equipment.
- Record and follow up on incidents and service requests through to resolution.
- Maintain basic IT asset and equipment records.
- Escalate more complex issues to the L2 Engineer with findings from the initial troubleshooting.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows and software troubleshooting.
- Basic networking knowledge is an advantage.
- Curious and enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems.
- Willing to research, learn and attempt solutions before escalating.
- Responsible, communicative and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Able to commit to at least 4 to 6-month internship.
