Role Description The Investment Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore.
- Provide high-quality investment advisory services to private wealth clients, including developing investment strategies and portfolio recommendations.
- Analyse global financial markets, macroeconomic trends and investment opportunities to support client portfolio decisions.
- Identify, evaluate and recommend suitable equity and fixed income investment opportunities, including listed equities, bonds and other approved investment instruments.
- Execute trades and implement portfolios in line with clients’ investment objectives, risk profiles, and approved strategies.
- Assess clients’ investment objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon, liquidity needs and return expectations.
- Develop and maintain investment policy statements and portfolio strategies aligned with clients’ goals.
- Deliver timely investment ideas, trade recommendations and market updates to Relationship Managers and clients.
- Review portfolio performance and recommend adjustments where appropriate.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients by providing regular portfolio updates, market views and investment insights.
- Ensure investment activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, investor disclosures, privacy obligations, anti-money laundering rules and anti-fraud measures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and counterparties, including private banks, brokers, investment banks, custodian banks and trustees.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an investment advisory, portfolio advisory, wealth management, trading or similar role.
- Proven ability and hands-on experience in analysing, selecting and trading equities and bonds.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, asset classes, investment products, portfolio construction and asset allocation.
- Good knowledge of equity valuation, fixed income analysis, credit risk, liquidity, duration, yield movements and market drivers.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial markets and identify suitable investment opportunities.
- Client-focused, with strong relationship management, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Relationship Managers, investment teams, clients and external counterparties.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, keen sense of urgency and high standards of professional and personal integrity.
- Relevant regulatory qualifications and experience in private wealth, EAM platforms or multi-asset advisory would be advantageous.
