Core Subject Matter Expertise

To successfully handle the listed accountabilities, the candidate must have proven experience in:

• Commercial Contracts: Strong track record of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements (vendor, supplier, customer, and partnership contracts).
• Corporate Compliance: Background in advising on broad regulatory compliance matters, specifically labor/employment, data privacy, ethics, finance, and FDA regulations.
• General Corporate Law: Experience advising business units on intellectual property (IP) protection, real estate transactions, risk management, and insurance matters.
• Dispute Resolution: Managing pre-litigation disputes with third parties and overseeing outside counsel if litigation occurs.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Prepare, draft and negotiate a commercial contracts relevant to designated areas of expertise. Develop and apply knowledge of Plexus to support resolution of contract issues in a timely manner and with an appropriate balance of risk and reward. Provide dedicated support, advice and counsel to functions and/or business units as assigned. Support resolution of disputes with third parties.
• Provide support, advice and counsel to the Company, and lead continuous improvement activities, on various legal and compliance matters as assigned, which may include labor and employment matters, government contracting, ethics, finance-related compliance, FDA compliance, and privacy.
• Provide support, advice and counsel to the Company, and lead continuous improvement activities, on various corporate matters as assigned, which may include (without limitation) IP, treasury/finance, IT, corporate development, risk management, insurance, and real estate
• Provide an outstanding customer experience to internal and external customers by providing effective guidance and solutions, listening, delivering on commitments, seeking opportunities to learn and teach, and being respectful and passionate.

Education & Credentials

• Degree: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (or regional equivalent, such as an LLB).
• Licensure: Active membership in good standing with the relevant state bar or national legal regulatory body.
• Years of Experience: Typically 7–10+ years of practicing law. This usually includes foundational training at a reputable corporate law firm followed by several years of in-house corporate legal experience.
• Industry Experience: Given the mention of "government contracting" and "FDA compliance," experience in the manufacturing, technology, medical device, or electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industries is highly likely to be required.
• Business Acumen: The ability to provide solutions with an "appropriate balance of risk and reward," meaning the candidate must act as a strategic business partner, not just a legal gatekeeper.
• Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to provide excellent internal customer service and deliver on commitments to various business units.
• Team Leadership: Experience managing, mentoring, and coaching a legal team, driving succession planning, and exemplifying corporate core values.
