Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Finance in managing the overall financial operations of the hotel.
• Oversee daily accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Income Audit and Cashiering.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Review daily revenue reports, income audit reports, cash collections and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor hotel revenue, expenses, cash flow and financial performance.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and business plans.
• Monitor departmental budgets and investigate significant variances.
• Ensure proper implementation and compliance with financial policies, accounting standards and internal controls.
• Review and approve payments, invoices, journal entries and other financial documents within the authorized limits.
• Monitor accounts receivable collections and outstanding balances.
• Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks and other financial institutions when required.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor hotel cash handling procedures and strengthen controls to minimize financial risks.
• Review purchasing, inventory and cost-control processes together with the relevant departments.
• Work closely with Operations, F&B, Front Office and other departments on financial and cost-related matters.
• Provide financial advice and analysis to management to support business and operational decisions.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved profitability and operational efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop the Finance team to ensure effective performance and service delivery.
• Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of financial and sensitive company information.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Director of Finance or General Manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Good knowledge of hotel accounting systems, PMS/POS and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work independently and effectively with different departments.

Pay: From RM10,000.00 per month
