Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to lead and oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for precast concrete production. The role will be responsible for ensuring that raw materials, production processes, testing, and finished precast elements comply with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable standards, and client requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Production, Engineering, and Project teams to maintain consistent quality standards, address non-conformities, and ensure proper QA/QC documentation throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements for precast production.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on raw materials, concrete mix designs, reinforcement, formwork, and finished precast elements.
• Ensure precast production complies with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable standards, and client requirements.
• Monitor concrete production activities, including batching, casting, curing, demoulding, handling, and storage.
• Coordinate and witness laboratory testing, including slump tests, compressive strength tests, cube/cylinder tests, and material testing.
• Review test results and ensure testing activities are properly documented and maintained.
• Identify quality issues and non-conformities, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Liaise with Production, Engineering, and Project teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
• Monitor quality performance throughout the precast manufacturing process and recommend improvements where required.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, test reports, quality reports, and other documentation required for client submissions and audits.
• Support and coordinate internal and external audits, including ISO 9001, project audits, and client inspections.
• Ensure testing and measuring equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to the QA/QC team to ensure inspection and testing activities are carried out effectively.
• Promote continuous improvement and maintain consistent quality standards across precast production activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably in the precast concrete or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, precast manufacturing processes, concrete testing, and quality control requirements.
• Experience in inspection, testing, NCR management, corrective and preventive actions, and QA/QC documentation.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, project specifications, standards, and quality procedures.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and quality audit processes will be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Able to lead, supervise, and coordinate a QA/QC team effectively.
• Able to work closely with Production, Engineering, Project, and other operational teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Willing to work in a precast factory/manufacturing environment.
