Position Summary

The Marine Piping Engineer is responsible for leading construction, fabrication, installation, quality assurance, quality control, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and testing activities for our client's FPSO drydock exercise. The role oversees multidisciplinary construction teams and ensures compliance with project specifications, client requirements, international standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Management

• Lead fabrication, erection, integration, and installation of offshore topside modules, structures, piping systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Manage construction execution in accordance with project schedules, budgets, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, Vendors, and Subcontractors.
• Monitor construction progress, manpower utilization, productivity, and work sequencing.
• Review IFC drawings, technical specifications, construction procedures, and work packs before execution.
• Manage load-out, heavy lifting, module integration, and offshore installation activities.

Piping & Mechanical Inspection

• Inspect piping fabrication, installation, testing, and reinstatement activities.
• Verify compliance with P&ID, Isometric Drawings, Test Packs, and Line Class Requirements.
• Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, vacuum, helium leak, nitrogen-helium (N2He), and pressure testing activities.
• Conduct alignment, levelness, soft foot, grouting, and coupling inspections for pumps, compressors, turbines, vessels, and rotating equipment.
• Perform mechanical completion inspections and support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Structural Inspection

• Inspect structural fabrication, assembly, installation, and dimensional control activities.
• Verify alignment, levelness, lifting arrangements, support structures, equipment foundations, and module integration interfaces.
• Monitor fabrication quality against project specifications and classification requirements.
• Coordinate final structural inspections, punch listing, and handover activities.

NDT & Testing Coordination

• Coordinate and witness: Radiographic Testing (RT)Ultrasonic Testing (UT)Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)Positive Material Identification (PMI)Ferrite Testing PWHT Activities, Helium Leak TestingN2He System Leak Testing
• Review NDT reports and ensure compliance with project acceptance criteria.

Safety & Compliance

• Promote and enforce HSSE requirements across all construction activities.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, JSA reviews, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with client safety requirements and company safety management systems.
• Participate in safety audits and incident prevention programs.
