Job Purpose
To support the Group's finance and accounting functions by ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end closing, compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, effective cash flow management, and coordination with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare and maintain full set of accounts for assigned subsidiaries.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions.
- Reconcile general ledger, bank accounts, intercompany balances, and supplier/customer accounts.
- Prepare management accounts and financial analysis reports.
- Prepare actual vs budget comparison reports, highlight key variances, and provide explanations for management review.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor collections and aging of receivables.
- Ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
- Review outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Support credit control and customer credit assessment processes.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor daily cash positions and cash flow requirements.
- Prepare payment schedules and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in fund transfers, foreign currency transactions, and investment-related documentation.
Audit, Tax & Compliance
- Liaise with external auditors during interim and annual audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Assist in SST, e-Invoice, and taxation compliance matters.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Bursa Malaysia requirements, and internal policies where applicable.
Regulatory & Corporate Reporting
- Assist in preparation of annual reports, board papers, and Bursa announcements.
- Support MBRS submissions and statutory filings.
- Coordinate with company secretaries on regulatory matters.
Group Finance Operations
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Assist in budget preparation, actual vs budget comparison, and variance analysis by department, subsidiary, or project where applicable.
- Support finance process improvements and automation projects.
- Participate in the implementation of AI and digital finance initiatives.
Others
- Support ad-hoc projects assigned by management.
- Provide guidance to junior finance staff and interns.
- Assist in process documentation and SOP development.
Requirements
Education
- Preferrable Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent professional qualification.
Working Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Experience in handling full set accounts is mandatory.
- Experience in listed company environment is an added advantage.
- Audit experience or exposure to audit assignments is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of MFRS and accounting standards.
- Familiarity with SST and e-Invoice requirements.
- Experience with accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, or equivalent).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including:
- Pivot Table
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Data analysis and reconciliation

- Experience in finance process automation or Power Automate initiatives.
- Candidate pursuing or completed ACCA/CIMA/CPA.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
