Inspector of Works- CSA (BEM) - Data Centre Construction (Defect Management) PMC- Cyberjaya

The Inspector of Works (IOW) for Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) works on data centre construction projects to oversee quality control and manage the identification, tracking, and rectification of structural and architectural defects.

Core Responsibilities in CSA Defect Management

• Site Inspections: Conduct regular daily inspections of concrete works, steel framing, fireproofing, raised flooring, roofing, and architectural finishes.
• Snagging & Punch Lists: Identify, record, and log snags, incomplete items, and non-conformances (NCRs) into a centralized tracking register.
• Rectification Verification: Witness remedial work carried out by subcontractors to ensure structural integrity and compliance with design specifications.
• Mission-Critical Standards: Ensure high-spec requirements (such as dust-free cleanroom environments, airtight vapour barriers, and waterproof membranes in data halls) meet strict quality protocols.
• Handover Documentation: Compile inspection test records, photographic evidence of closed defects, and sign-offs for final project handover.

Preferences:

• Immediate availability strongly preferred
• Strong QAQC background with minimum 2 DC projects in defect management
• Skills in stakeholder Management
• Proven, hands-on in generating and managing Defects of Data Centre
• Experience in Data Centre brownfield defect management
• Well verse and hands on operating Construction tools such as ProCore

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
