About the Role

We are seeking a Market Expansion Manager to identify, evaluate, and support opportunities for business growth in new and existing markets. The role will combine market research, commercial analysis, strategic planning, and cross-functional project management to support successful market entry and expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market expansion strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Research and evaluate new markets, customer segments, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Assess market size, growth opportunities, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and potential risks.
• Develop business cases and financial analyses to evaluate market entry and expansion opportunities.
• Identify potential local partners, distributors, suppliers, and other business relationships.
• Develop market entry plans, including objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, and performance measures.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal, Product, and other relevant functions.
• Support market launches and coordinate implementation activities from planning through execution.
• Monitor market performance and analyse revenue, customer, operational, and other relevant business metrics.
• Prepare market research reports, business proposals, management presentations, and regular progress updates.
• Identify market-entry risks and coordinate appropriate mitigation plans.
• Build relationships with local stakeholders and external business partners where required.
• Monitor regulatory, economic, industry, and competitive developments relevant to target markets.
• Evaluate the performance of new markets and recommend opportunities for optimisation and further growth.
• Maintain documentation, market research, financial models, and expansion plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Management, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in market expansion, business development, strategy, consulting, commercial planning, or a related field.
• Strong market research and commercial analysis skills.
• Ability to develop business cases and evaluate market opportunities.
• Strong project management and organisational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard business tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience with regional or international market expansion is an advantage.
• Experience in the relevant industry or target markets is an advantage.
