Business Development Executive

An established multinational business group is expanding its ICT and Financial Services activities in Malaysia and is looking for a commercially minded professional to join its team.

This newly created position focuses on identifying growth opportunities across technology, telecommunications and financial services.

You will monitor market developments, engage with potential partners and help management assess new business and investment opportunities.

The role is well suited to someone who is curious about emerging technologies and enjoys turning market information into practical business proposals.

What You Will Do

• Monitor developments across ICT, AI, telecommunications, digital finance and related technology sectors
• Identify potential business opportunities, investment targets and strategic partnerships
• Evaluate market potential, industry trends and possible commercial applications
• Develop relationships with technology companies, financial institutions, telecommunications providers, consultants and other external partners
• Participate in discussions with prospective partners and gather information for business evaluation
• Support preliminary assessments of new ventures and project financing opportunities
• Prepare business proposals, management presentations and industry updates
• Present research findings and recommendations to senior management
• Coordinate with internal teams and regional stakeholders on potential projects
• Support other strategic initiatives as business needs evolve

What We Are Looking For

• Around 6~8 years of relevant experience in business development, market research, investment analysis, ICT, telecommunications or financial services
• Genuine interest in AI, digital technology and emerging business models
• Ability to understand both the commercial and technical aspects of a business opportunity
• Strong research, analytical and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Basic awareness of programming concepts or languages such as Python (example) would be an advantage
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable learning about unfamiliar technologies
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and overseas when required
