Role Description The Mechanical CX Engineer is a contract, on-site role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This position is responsible for overseeing mechanical commissioning and execution activities, ensuring systems and equipment are installed, tested, and handed over in line with project specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing mechanical designs and documentation, coordinating with project and site teams, supervising inspections and functional tests, and resolving technical issues during commissioning and maintenance phases. The role also involves preparing reports, maintaining documentation for quality and safety compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and reliable mechanical performance.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and industry standards.
• Candidates should possess Maintenance skills to support preventive, corrective, and reliability-focused activities on mechanical equipment.
• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for reviewing drawings, interpreting layouts, and supporting design-related coordination.
• Candidates should possess Inspection skills, including conducting mechanical checks, verifying installations, and documenting findings for quality assurance.
• Candidates should possess Automotive-related skills for working with rotating machinery, mechanical drives, and related equipment where applicable.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with commissioning, site execution, and troubleshooting in power, oil & gas, or process industry projects is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of safety practices, quality standards, and compliance requirements in industrial environments.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently in an on-site setting.
• Ability to read technical documentation, prepare clear reports, and use standard engineering and office software tools.
