About the Role

The Senior Land Surveyor is responsible for overseeing and executing land surveying projects to support construction, responsible for measuring and mapping land, buildings, and infrastructure. This role involves managing survey teams, ensuring accuracy in measurements, preparing detailed reports, and liaising with stakeholders to deliver precise land data for project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting land surveys to determine property boundaries, elevations and other features.
• Lead and supervise survey teams in conducting field surveys, including topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, and digital levels.
• Review and validate survey data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings using CAD and GIS software.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to provide accurate land information.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements during survey operations.
• Mentor junior surveyors and provide technical guidance to improve team performance.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certification or license in land surveying (where applicable).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, and software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS) and surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS and levelling instruments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret survey data accurately.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Familiarity with local land laws, regulations, and standards.
• Proficiency in advanced surveying technologies (e.g., drone surveying, LiDAR).
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities.

Working Conditions

• Fieldwork in various terrains and weather conditions.
• Office-based tasks for data processing and reporting.
• Occasional travel to project sites.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
