DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role supports day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations

• Shipment planning consists of Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk etc

• Haulage arrangements

• Customs clearance declaration

• Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer’s shipments

• Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z

• Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes/ ministry/ official authority

• Ensure all enquirers are responded to within the shortest possible time frame

• To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation base on customer’s requirements

• Follow up with customer, overseas agents and overseas offices on quotations/ proposal and negotiate to a closure

• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers

• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing

• Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Freight Forwarding Experience - Candidates with relevant freight forwarding experience, particularly those with Ocean Freight exposure will be preferred

• Customer-focused – Build strong, long-term customer relationships while identifying business growth and improvement opportunities

• Analytical – Assess situations strategically to identify opportunities for growth and improvement

• Multitasking – Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines

• Detail-oriented – Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in planning and executing tasks effectively

• Risk management – Identify potential risks, implement appropriate mitigation measures and ensure compliance with company policies

• Singaporeans and Permanent Residents are preferred

• Open to fresh graduates and candidates with preferably 2–3 years of relevant working experience
