What You'll Do
As an IQC Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that incoming materials, components, and products meet established quality standards before they are released to production.
Your responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs and inspection standards for incoming quality control.
- Establish inspection criteria and specifications for incoming materials, components, and products based on quality standards and customer requirements.
- Monitor and maintain the quality performance of incoming materials.
- Develop and execute inspection and testing methods using appropriate tools, equipment, and measurement techniques.
- Perform detailed inspections and analysis to identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations from specifications.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret incoming quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare inspection reports, quality metrics, trend analysis, and recommendations for management review.
- Work closely with suppliers to investigate material quality issues and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in supplier audits and evaluations to assess supplier quality performance and compliance with quality requirements.
- Work closely with SQE and relevant departments to resolve supplier and incoming material quality issues.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incoming defects, waste, and quality-related production issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inspections, non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality performance.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System, including applicable ISO and automotive quality requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate IQC Inspector performance to ensure consistent and effective inspection practices.
- Ensure inspection and measurement equipment and methods are properly utilized to support accurate quality evaluation.
- Stay updated on relevant quality control methodologies, industry practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
What We're Looking For Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IQC, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or a related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience in supplier quality management, supplier audits, or incoming material inspection is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of quality control methodologies, inspection techniques, statistical analysis, and problem-solving tools.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze quality data using appropriate quality tools.
- Good knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis, SPC, and other relevant quality methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Good presentation and report-writing skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work non-standard hours when required to support urgent quality or production issues.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
