The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our client's team as an Assistant Manager - HR. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Executive looking for career progression into an Assistant Manager role, as well as an existing Assistant Manager looking for a new challenge.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage day-to-day HR operations and provide support across the full employee lifecycle.
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, transfers and promotions.
• Support performance management, employee engagement and learning & development activities.
• Manage employee relations and disciplinary matters in line with company policies.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits, leave and other HR administration.
• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with Malaysia Employment Act and relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Support manpower planning and HR initiatives.
• Assist with office administration and facilities-related matters when required.
• Work closely with employees and stakeholders to ensure smooth HR operations.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
• 5–8 years of solid HR Generalist experience.
• Strong hands-on experience across multiple HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, HR administration and performance management.
• Good knowledge of Malaysia Employment Act and HR practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, proactive and able to work independently.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• Experience in retail, property, hospitality or other fast-paced environments will be an advantage.
