Business Development Manager, Southeast Asia
We are seeking a commercially driven
Business Development Manager
to accelerate the growth of our fashion brands across Southeast Asia.
This role will be responsible for developing and managing wholesale partnerships, driving market expansion, and maximizing sales performance across key markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
The ideal candidate combines strong business development expertise with a deep understanding of fashion retail, distribution networks, and regional market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Expansion
Drive wholesale and retail growth across Southeast Asia.
Identify, develop, and secure new distribution and wholesale partnerships.
Explore new market opportunities and expansion initiatives.
Negotiate commercial agreements and drive sustainable business growth.
Account & Distributor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key accounts.
Develop joint business plans, sales targets, and expansion strategies with partners.
Monitor partner performance and provide strategic support to maximize results.
Ensure alignment with brand positioning and commercial objectives.
Sales & Commercial Performance
Deliver sales, profitability, and inventory targets across assigned markets.
Manage the end-to-end wholesale process from seasonal buying to order fulfilment.
Analyse sales performance, consumer trends, and market opportunities.
Prepare forecasts, budgets, and business performance reports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, and Store Development teams.
Support store openings, marketing initiatives, and brand development activities across the region.
Ensure a consistent and premium brand experience across all channels.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years' experience in wholesale, business development, or commercial management within fashion, lifestyle, or retail industries.
Strong knowledge of Southeast Asian retail and distribution markets.
Established network of distributors, retailers, and business partners across SEA.
Proven track record in driving sales growth and market expansion.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
