We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer (Yellow Book) to join our team and ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations and company safety policies on-site. The ideal candidate will be certified as a professional safety officer as per local labor laws (Yellow Book holder) and have experience in managing and implementing safety systems, conducting training, and ensuring safe working conditions for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce compliance with local occupational health and safety laws and company policies.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near-misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct and document safety training, toolbox talks, inductions, and safety meetings for workers and subcontractors.
• Maintain and update the Safety Yellow Book and all related documentation in compliance with the Department of Labor and regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with the Department of Labor for compliance reports, inspections, and required certifications.
• Promote a strong safety culture among all site personnel through leadership, training, and visibility.
• Prepare and submit monthly safety reports and statistics to management and relevant authorities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific HSE plans and emergency response plans.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into planning and operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must possess a Yellow Book Safety Officer Certificate (Certified by Department of Labour/Ministry of Labour).
• At least 2-5 years of relevant safety experience, preferably in the construction / manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of local health and safety legislation and international HSE standards.
• Proficient in safety documentation, reporting, and record-keeping.
• With leadership / supervisor experience's will add advantage
• Good communication, leadership, and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-risk environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
