Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kota Damansara, responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations for Iconix Venture Sdn Bhd and its Naturmeric brand. This role includes preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Accountant will prepare financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local tax regulations, and assist with audit processes. The role also involves monitoring inventory-related transactions, verifying cost allocations, generating financial reports for management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in core accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation rules, and regulatory compliance, with experience supporting audits and statutory filings.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and inventory-related accounting in a product-based or FMCG/wellness environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with finance, operations, and management teams.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a retail, FMCG, or wellness/health products company is beneficial, along with integrity, reliability, and a proactive mindset.
