Kerja Sepenuh Masa, Safety - Security Manager di Sand & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort & Spa Johor - Maukerja

We are looking for a Safety & Security Manager to join our management team and take overall responsibility for the safety, security, and emergency preparedness of our resort, guests, employees, and property.

The successful candidate will be a proactive and hands-on security professional with strong leadership skills, sound knowledge of hotel safety and security practices, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.

• Oversee the overall safety and security operations of the resort, including guest areas, staff areas, back-of-house and surrounding premises.
• Develop, implement and regularly review hotel Safety & Security policies, SOPs and emergency procedures.
• Lead and supervise the Security team to ensure effective daily operations and professional service standards.
• Conduct regular security patrols, risk assessments, inspections and safety audits.
• Ensure proper implementation of fire safety, emergency response, evacuation and crisis management procedures.
• Coordinate and conduct regular fire drills, emergency exercises and safety training for employees.
• Monitor and maintain the resort's CCTV, access control, alarm and other security systems.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, losses, theft, complaints and other security-related matters.
• Liaise with Police, Fire & Rescue Department, Civil Defence, local authorities and other relevant agencies when required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Malaysian safety, security, fire prevention and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with all departments to identify potential risks and implement appropriate preventive measures.
• Manage security contractors, equipment, uniforms and related operational budgets.
• Promote a strong safety and security culture among all employees.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to the General Manager and Management team.
  

• Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Safety Management, Risk Management, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
• Professional certification in security, occupational safety, fire safety or emergency management will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of hotel/resort security operations, fire safety and emergency response procedures.
• Good understanding of relevant Malaysian laws, regulations and authority requirements relating to safety and security.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and crisis-management skills.
• Computer literate with the ability to prepare reports and maintain proper documentation.
  

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in security and safety operations, preferably within a hotel, resort or hospitality environment.
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity is preferred.
• Candidates with experience in hospitality security, law enforcement, military, corporate security or emergency management are encouraged to apply.
• Proven experience in handling security incidents, investigations, emergency situations and crisis management.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety inspections and staff training will be an advantage.
• Strong ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with different departments and external agencies.
