An organisation operating in the energy and natural resources industry located in Kuala Lumpur.
Job Description
- Manage a high volume of sourcing and contracting requests, prioritizing activities based on business criticality, value, and risk.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with operational requirements, cost optimization, and supply continuity objectives.
- Conduct market analysis and supplier research to support informed sourcing decisions and category strategies.
- Lead supplier prequalification, due diligence, and risk assessment processes in line with governance requirements.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, tenders, supplier evaluations, and negotiations.
- Collaborate with category managers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver competitive and compliant sourcing outcomes.
- Draft, negotiate, and execute contracts while ensuring appropriate risk management, approvals, and governance compliance.
- Operationalize awarded contracts within procurement systems to support supplier performance monitoring and value realization.
A Successful Indirect Sourcing Lead Should Have
- The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of proven end to end sourcing and contracting experience, with the ability to operate independently on complex, high value and high risk sourcing cases across multiple partners.
- Experience in the lubricants industry will be an advantage.
- Good stakeholder management skills handling Global Stakeholders
- Experience working in a large and multi-cultural team
- Good influencing and negotiation skills, as well as proven leadership behaviors
- Proficient in English (oral and written) language. - first language
- Contract: 1 year (extendable)
