Job Summary

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting daily maintenance activities, troubleshooting machinery issues, carrying out preventive maintenance, and ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently.

This position is suitable for fresh graduates or junior candidates who are interested in developing hands-on experience in manufacturing machinery and maintenance operations.

Job Responsibilities

1. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing production machinery and equipment.
• Attend to machine breakdowns and support timely restoration of operations.
• Identify basic mechanical or electrical issues and carry out necessary corrective actions.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the supervisor or external service provider when required.

2. Preventive Maintenance

• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
• Perform routine inspections on machinery and equipment.
• Check machine condition and identify potential problems before breakdown occurs.
• Assist in maintaining proper maintenance records and checklists.

3. Production Support

• Provide technical support to the Production Department when machine-related issues occur.
• Assist with machine setup, adjustment and testing.
• Work closely with production personnel to minimise machine downtime.

4. Maintenance Records & Spare Parts

• Record machine breakdowns, repairs and maintenance activities.
• Update maintenance records and equipment history.
• Monitor commonly used spare parts and inform the supervisor when replenishment is required.
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are properly maintained.

5. Safety & Improvement

• Follow company safety procedures during maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain a clean and safe maintenance working area.
• Assist in machine improvement and modification projects.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve machine reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 1–2 years of maintenance or manufacturing experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Willing to perform hands-on maintenance work.
• Willing to learn and develop technical skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment is an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
