Job Responsibilities:
Develop and validate CNC programs and machining processes for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and live-tooling lathes.
Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, fixtures, and machine parameters.
Lead cycle time reduction and tool life improvement projects.
Troubleshoot production issues – dimensional deviations, poor surface finish, chatter, tool breakage.
Create setup sheets, tool lists, inspection plans, and standard work.
Perform time studies, capability studies (Cpk), and first-article inspections.
Collaborate with quality on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain program and process documentation revision control.
Any other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
At least 2 years equivalent CNC process engineering experience.
Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, Solidworks).
Strong knowledge of G-code, speeds/feeds, and cutting tool metallurgy.
Working knowledge of GD&T and ability to read complex mechanical drawings.
Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Mazak).
Advantages:
Experience with Swiss-type lathes or multi-axis mill-turn machines.
Knowledge of ERP/MES systems for routing and BOM management.
