Job Description

• Carry out daily cleaning and housekeeping duties according to the assigned schedule, work instructions, and required standards.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and ensure all assigned areas are properly cleaned, maintained, and presented to the required standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the housekeeping team, client, management, and suppliers.
• Lead, guide, supervise, and monitor housekeeping staff, including task allocation, attendance, and work performance.
• Communicate work instructions, client requirements, and operational updates clearly to the housekeeping team.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure cleaning and housekeeping issues are promptly rectified.
• Handle client feedback, requests, and complaints professionally and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor the proper use and condition of cleaning equipment, machines, chemicals, and supplies.
• Maintain basic records, including attendance, manpower deployment, inspections, and daily reports.
• Report incidents, damages, maintenance issues, manpower shortages, and other operational concerns to management promptly.
• Ensure all staff comply with company policies, client requirements, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Hands-on cleaning duties and ad-hoc housekeeping tasks are required as part of the role.
• Escalate any issues, complaints, incidents, or urgent matters to management promptly when necessary.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by Management or the Client.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar supervisory role is preferred.
• Ability to manage, motivate, and guide a team of cleaning staff effectively.
• Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to perform hands-on cleaning duties when required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage daily operational requirements.
• Able to handle client feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to take appropriate corrective action.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment, machines, chemicals, and safety procedures is an advantage.
• Able to align with client and organisational directives and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to operational requirements.
• Able to work well under pressure and manage stressful situations calmly and professionally.
