YLL Offshore Services Pte Ltd is seeking an officially certified Marine Surveyor to support the Catalyst Marshalling & Transshipment Operations.

Role Overview

The Marine Surveyor will provide independent survey, inspection, and certification for the lashing, securing, and containerisation of Cougar bags, Bins, and CHEP catalyst bins. You will work closely with Catalyst Technicians and site leadership to ensure all export containers meet IMDG Code requirements and the approved packing methodology before sealing and release.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct marine surveys and certify lashing/securing arrangements for export containers.
• Verify weight distribution, securing methods, and container suitability.
• Provide hands-on guidance to Catalyst Technicians and Lashing Assistants.
• Inspect lashing materials, dunnage, and securing points.
• Confirm IMDG placarding, labelling, and DG documentation accuracy.
• Maintain survey records and submit daily inspection reports.
• Coordinate with Technical Manager, Site Operations Manager, and export logistics stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Certified Marine Surveyor with valid accreditation from a recognised body/classification society.
• Experience in cargo securing, lashing, and container packing surveys — ideally hazardous/dangerous goods.
• Strong working knowledge of the IMDG Code.
• Experience in port marshalling, transhipment, or decommissioning operations (advantage).
• Familiarity with CHEP bins and Cougar bags (advantage).
• Professional English; Tetum/Indonesian beneficial.

Pay: From RM1,632.00 per day
