About the role

We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer to join our team at INVENTEC APPLIANCES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Bayan Lepas, Penang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our state-of-the-art manufacturing execution system, which is crucial to the efficiency and success of our production operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Designing, implementing, and optimizing our manufacturing execution system to improve production efficiency and throughput

  2. Integrating the MES with other systems, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and quality management, to create a seamless and data-driven manufacturing process

  3. Developing custom software and applications to enhance the functionality and capabilities of the MES

  4. Providing technical support and troubleshooting to ensure the MES is operating at optimal performance

  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and IT, to identify and implement process improvements

  6. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in manufacturing execution systems and applying them to our operations

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 2 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining manufacturing execution systems

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows

  • Experience with industrial automation, SCADA systems, and PLC programming

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams
