As an intern, we are well aware that you have limited experience and skills.

But we do expect that you bring your best characteristics:

• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is a must. Fluency in other languages is an added bonus.
• Strong Communication Skills - greet customers in cheerful and welcoming manners, start a chat and engage with customers. Your skills in making small talks matter here, a lot!
• Pleasant display of non-verbal gestures - your smile, your open body language, your engaging facial expression that your mama gave you.
• Social awareness and interpersonal skills - ask the right questions and listen to understand. Assumptions are not welcomed.
• Coordination with other team members. Because you won't be working alone, your collaboration skill is gold. Everyone wants to see you succeed in your internship.
• Plus plus point +++: Having skills of managing unpleasant conversations, diffusing upset or uncomfortable (and sometimes, hangry) guests. Just like how you diffuse that little silly fight with your friends.
• You don’t have to have all the solutions and all the answers, but you do need to have the skills to be open to learn, implement your learnings and ask questions.

Here's what you can expect to learn and execute, during your internship period:

• To learn, be guided and be taught of Front Office operations.
• To undertake front of house duties, including greeting and attending to the needs of guests, to ensure a superb customer service experience.
• To build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints/issues quickly to maintain high quality guest experience.
• To deal with guest requests to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay.
• To assist in dealing with guests inquiries or complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible.
• To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.
• To ensure keeping the hotel reception area clean and tidy at all times.
• To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and switchboard, to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
• To administer all routes of reservations to ensure that room bookings are made and recorded accurately.
• To ensure that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently and accurately.
• To keep up to date with room prices, happenings, events and special offers in and around the hotel to provide accurate information to guests.
• To ensure consistent resourceful behaviour aligned with the company’s values.
