Role Description

The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuching. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. Day-to-day tasks include processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. The Accountant will also support month-end and year-end closing, coordinate with auditors, and provide financial reports and analysis to management. Collaboration with other departments is required to ensure timely financial information and support operational decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
• Member of MIA or holder of a recognised professional certification such as ACCA or CPA
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in a similar role or in the audit field
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in working with numbers
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Able to work effectively in a team and perform well under pressure
