Job Summary
Prepare nutritious meals and manage kitchen operations to support the health and wellbeing of infants, children, and staff in a childcare setting.
Responsibilities
Prepare healthy meals including breakfast, lunch, and snacks for infants and childcare children to meet their nutritional needs
Order and manage kitchen ingredients and supplies to ensure availability and reduce waste
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area to comply with health and safety standards
Prepare meals for staff to support overall childcare center operations
Required competencies and certifications
Demonstrated experience cooking for large groups, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting
Knowledge of nutritional requirements for young children to ensure meal quality and appropriateness
Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment to support safe food preparation
Reliability and punctuality to ensure consistent meal service and kitchen operations
