Job Scope / Responsibilities

• Assist in taking-off quantities from drawings and specifications.
• Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates and quotations.
• Assist with tender preparation and tender documentation.
• Source quotations and communicate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing Purchase Orders (PO) and subcontractor documentation.
• Assist in preparing and tracking Variation Orders (VO).
• Assist in preparing progress claims and final accounts.
• Assist with site measurement and verification of completed works.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Maintain proper records of quotations, claims, VOs, POs and other commercial documents.
• Coordinate with the Project, Design and Site teams on costing and quantity matters.
• Assist with other QS and project-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Basic understanding of BQ, quantity take-off and construction drawings.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently with guidance.
• Interest in commercial renovation, interior fit-out and construction projects.
• Fresh graduates waiting for graduation may also apply.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor (QS) Intern to join our Design & Build team.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to real commercial renovation and fit-out projects, covering tendering, cost estimation, procurement, variation orders, progress claims and project cost control.

The intern will work closely with our QS, Project and Site teams to understand the complete commercial process from tender stage to project completion.
