1. Support PLUS as the Client in ensuring full compliance with SHE requirements
- Monitor contractors’ and consultants’ compliance with SHE regulations, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Review SHE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and related safety documentation.
- Identify non-compliance and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
2. Monitor, advise, and report on SHE and traffic safety matters
- Monitor project activities and Traffic Management Plans (TMP) to identify safety, environmental, and traffic-related risks.
- Provide advice to contractors, consultants, and project teams on appropriate safety control measures.
- Report SHE issues and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
3. Prepare project-related documentation
- Prepare official letters, reports, meeting minutes, inspection reports, site instructions, and other SHE documentation.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, audits, incidents, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
- Assist in documentation for project meetings, management reporting, audits, and authority submissions.
4. Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Conduct regular site inspections and SHE audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance.
- Participate in investigations of accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences.
- Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions until closure.
5. Prepare SHE performance and compliance reports
- Compile SHE data and prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc performance reports.
- Track accidents, near misses, audit findings, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Analyse SHE trends and recommend improvements to overall safety performance.
6. Promote a positive safety culture
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, site inductions, and awareness programmes.
- Communicate SHE requirements and promote safe working practices among project personnel.
- Encourage proactive hazard identification, reporting, and safety awareness.
7. Liaise with authorities, contractors, and consultants
- Coordinate with authorities, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders on SHE matters.
- Attend meetings and coordinate on inspections, compliance issues, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Ensure relevant statutory and contractual SHE requirements are properly addressed.
