Manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects by preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, progress claims, and monitoring project costs to ensure profitability and compliance with contract requirements.
Responsibilities
Manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects to ensure compliance and profitability
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions to support project bidding and budgeting
Prepare progress claims, variation claims, and final accounts to track financial status and project changes
Monitor project costs, variations, and profitability to maintain budget control and financial performance
Evaluate subcontractors' and suppliers' quotations to select cost-effective and reliable partners
Conduct site measurements and verify completed works to ensure accuracy and quality compliance
Maintain proper documentation and records for contracts, claims, and variations to support audit and project tracking
Communicate effectively and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate project progress
Use Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and AutoCAD proficiently to prepare reports and drawings
Work independently to meet project deadlines and deliverables with minimal supervision
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field
Relevant experience in construction or specialist contracting
Familiarity with measurement, costing, progress claims, variations, and contract administration
