Role Overview

We are looking for Application Support Engineers withInfra Knowledge to work closely with Development and QA teams to manage andsupport the UAT environments of applications .

The role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills,ownership, and a proactive approach to improving system availability,stability, monitoring, and operational efficiency .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support UAT environments for critical payment applications.
• Perform software installation, application deployment, configuration, and script execution .
• Conduct regular application, server, and database health checks .
• Troubleshoot application and environment issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) .
• Analyse application/system logs and resolve Java, OS, database, and connectivity-related issues.
• Work closely with Development, QA, Infrastructure, Database, and other teams to drive issues to resolution.
• Automate repetitive activities such as health checks, monitoring, deployments, and recovery tasks .
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance system availability and stability .
• Maintain relevant operational and troubleshooting documentation.

Technical Skills

Primary Stack

• Java 8 / 17 / 21
• Linux / Solaris
• Oracle Database 19c
• Shell/Bash scripting
• SQL and database troubleshooting
• DevOps, CI/CD and deployment automation
• Application deployment and log analysis

Good to Have

• Experience supporting banking or payment systems
• Monitoring and observability tools
• Python/Ansible or similar automation tools
• REST APIs and application integrations

Experience & Competencies

• 4–6 years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, DevOps Support, or similar roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take end-to-end ownership of technical issues.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset towards automation and continuous improvement .
• Ability to work effectively with multiple technical teams in a business-critical environment.
