Role Description The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of Paydibs’ payment processing platform and related applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and maintaining test cases, conducting manual and exploratory testing, documenting defects, and collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams to drive high-quality releases. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, mentor junior QA team members, and help define standards for software testing within the organization. The role also involves participating in release planning, risk assessments, and root-cause analysis to support stable and compliant production environments.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with experience ensuring robust, secure, and scalable systems.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Test Execution, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Candidates should possess the ability to design, document, and maintain effective Test Cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Solid understanding of payment processing systems, fintech products, or regulated financial services environments is highly beneficial.
- Experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Confluence or similar) is preferred.
- Familiarity with automation concepts, scripting, or test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent) is an advantage, even if the focus is primarily on manual QA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
