Building Contractor

Pay: SGD 6,500.00 – SGD 10,000.00 per month

Job Overview We are looking for a Building Contractor to coordinate and manage construction, structural engineering, and building development projects from planning through completion. This role will work closely with engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, architectural coordinators, clients, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered according to agreed schedules, structural requirements, quality standards, and building objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate building construction and structural infrastructure projects from site planning through final project completion.
• Develop project schedules, baseline milestones, structural deliverables, and resource implementation plans.
• Coordinate closely with civil engineering, structural design, procurement, and heavy machinery installation teams.
• Monitor project progress, labor resources, material costs, project timelines, and key structural deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, material suppliers, engineering consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Review project requirements, technical documentation, blueprints, spatial drawings, and safety plans.
• Support procurement and coordination of raw materials, construction equipment, steel configurations, and related systems.
• Monitor installation, materials testing, structural commissioning, and formal site handover activities.
• Identify project risks, site anomalies, safety hazards, and potential delays and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare progress reports, site log schedules, and management updates.
• Ensure project activities are carried out in accordance with relevant workplace safety, structural quality, and technical requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, architectural logs, and safety records throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Support improvements to project delivery processes, site engineering coordination, and operational workflows.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Experience in construction project management, civil engineering, structural contracting, building development, or related industries.
• Good understanding of project structural planning, architectural installation, commissioning, and technical site coordination.
• Familiarity with building management systems, local construction codes, concrete structures, or modern structural technologies will be an advantage.
• Strong project coordination, communication, vendor negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good analytical and systematic problem-solving abilities.
• Able to manage multiple site activities simultaneously and work according to tight, agreed timelines under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, common structural scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), or basic blueprint viewing utilities.
• Experience working with specialized subcontractors, material suppliers, independent consultants, or multi-disciplinary engineering crews will be an advantage.

Pay: $6,500.00 - $10,000.00 per month
