Job Description

We are looking for experienced and empathetic Facilitators and Coaches with a background in social work and/or counselling who are passionate about supporting and empowering young people.

As a Mentor and Coach, you will work with students through school-based programmes such as GEAR-UP, UPLIFT, and other similar programs for vulnerable students. As a mentor / coach you will provide mentoring, coaching and facilitation to support their personal and social development.

Mentors and Coaches will be paid an hourly rate of $50 and will work on a freelance, programme-based basis. Programme training, materials and guidelines will be provided.

Job Requirements
Must Have

• Completed a recognised training programme or qualification in Social Work and/or Counselling.
• At least 1 year of post-qualification, full-time professional practice in a social work and/or counselling position in Singapore
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with youth in a school or community setting, particularly managing students with social-emotional issues or learning difficulties.
• Experience in youth mentorship and working directly with children and/or youth.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with young people.
• Applicants should provide a CV stating their qualifications, relevant professional experience and similar past projects, along with references or testimonials where available.

Preferred

• Experience working with students in school-based programmes.
• Experience providing individual and/or group mentoring, coaching or facilitation for young people for at least 3 years
• Relevant professional expertise in social services, youth development, counselling, mentoring or related fields.
• Experience working collaboratively with schools, educators, counsellors or other youth-support professionals.
• Experience in experiential programs and other similar pedagogical practices.

Additional Information

• This is a freelance, programme-based role.
• Programme training, materials and guidelines will be provided.
• Programmes are conducted primarily in person in Singapore schools.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
