Gulf Lubes Malaysia, located at the Port Klang Free Zone, Pulau Indah, Selangor, is a biodiesel manufacturing plant committed to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions. Operating under the same group as TPG Oil & Gas, we continue to expand our operations and strengthen our workforce.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Executive to manage procurement operations for our plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing chemicals, spare parts, packaging materials and plant consumables while ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies
• Source and purchase materials such as chemicals (methanol, catalysts), additives, spare parts, packaging and consumables
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and correct specifications
• Follow up on order status and resolve delivery issues or discrepancies
• Liaise with existing and new suppliers for pricing, lead times and technical specifications
• Assist in supplier evaluation, comparison and performance tracking
• Maintain supplier database and approved vendor list
• Obtain quotations and prepare price comparison for management approval
• Support cost-reduction initiatives through price negotiation and alternative sourcing
• Monitor market prices for key materials (chemicals, spare parts, packaging)

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement or related field
• 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in manufacturing or palm oil downstream industry
• Understanding of procurement processes, inventory control and cost awareness
• Proficient in SAP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Support procurement for other plants

This role is available in PKFZ, Selangor and a junior role is available in Tanjung Langsat, Johor.
