Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (Insurance) role based in WP Kuala Lumpur. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities in insurance and takaful, including prospecting, networking, and building relationships with individual and corporate client .Responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline and meeting revenue and growth targets. The role also requires maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and developing marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and relationship management.
• Knowledge of insurance and takaful products, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex coverage options clearly.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with strong time management and organizational skills.

Self-Driven: Proactive, resourceful and comfortable opening doors and developing opportunities independently.

Target Driven: Comfortable working towards revenue, pipeline, visitation and new-client acquisition targets.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in insurance or takaful are an advantage.
• Prior experience in insurance broker, underwriting, or corporate insurance sales is highly beneficial.
