Key Responsibilities1. IT Support & Helpdesk Services
- Provide first-line technical support to staff and students.
- Respond to IT support requests including hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common IT problems in classrooms, offices, and labs.
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager when necessary.
- Maintain a log of IT support requests and resolutions.
2. Network & Infrastructure Support
- Assist in maintaining school network systems including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Monitor network performance and report issues or outages.
- Support configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and access points.
- Assist in ensuring stable internet connectivity across all school buildings.
- Help implement network improvements under IT Manager supervision.
3. Hardware & Software Maintenance
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Support software installation, updates, and licensing compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Ensure devices used in classrooms are fully functional and ready for teaching use.
4. IT Asset Management
- Maintain accurate records of all IT assets including devices, accessories, and peripherals.
- Track assignment of equipment to staff and departments.
- Update asset inventory regularly and ensure proper labelling of equipment.
- Assist in receiving, tagging, and recording new IT purchases.
- Support disposal or replacement processes for outdated or faulty equipment.
5. Systems & User Support
- Support users in accessing school systems.
- Assist in creating user accounts and managing basic access permissions.
- Support password resets and account troubleshooting.
- Help staff and students use digital learning tools effectively.
- Provide basic training on IT systems and applications when needed.
6. Preventive Maintenance & IT Environment
- Conduct routine checks on IT labs, devices, and network points.
- Ensure classrooms are equipped and ready for digital learning activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of IT equipment and server rooms.
- Report potential risks or faults before system failures occur.
- Support backup procedures and basic system maintenance tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, networking, or technical services.
- Basic knowledge of networking (LAN/Wi-Fi), hardware, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows/Mac OS and common office applications.
- Experience with IT asset management systems is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a school environment and respond quickly to issues.
Pay: From RM3,000.00 per month
