Role Description The Group Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, responsible for leading group-level financial operations and reporting across the Asia Pacific region. This role oversees consolidated financial statements, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, managing financial controls, coordinating audits, and supporting tax and regulatory filings. The Group Finance Manager works closely with regional business leaders to analyze financial performance, provide insights for decision-making, and support strategic planning and investments. The role also involves improving financial processes, implementing systems enhancements, mentoring finance team members, and supporting integration activities related to acquisitions and new projects.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data clearly.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance monitoring to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Experience with financial controls, compliance, audit coordination, and risk management within a multi-entity or regional group structure.
  • Advanced user of accounting and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), with strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP) and tax and regulatory requirements in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
  • Relevant experience in energy, engineering, infrastructure, or related industries is an advantage, particularly in a regional or group finance role.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset focused on process optimization and systems enhancements.
