Role Description
The Senior Executive, Growth & Partnerships will support the development, management, and execution of strategic partnerships and growth initiatives for Crux Institute. The role is suited to someone who is commercially aware, organised, articulate, and comfortable working with senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with management to identify partnership opportunities, prepare proposals and presentations, coordinate discussions with prospective partners, and ensure agreed initiatives progress from initial engagement through to implementation.
A major part of the role involves translating discussions and opportunities into well-structured proposals, concept papers, presentations, agreements, and implementation plans. The Senior Executive will also coordinate internally and externally to ensure programmes, events, collaborations, and partnership commitments are delivered effectively.
This is a full-time hybrid position based in WP Kuala Lumpur, combining on-site responsibilities with some work-from-home flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of Crux Institute’s growth and partnership strategy.
- Identify and evaluate potential partnerships with universities, government agencies, corporations, associations, training providers, and other organisations.
- Engage with prospective and existing partners to understand their objectives, requirements, and potential areas of collaboration.
- Prepare professional proposals, concept papers, partnership presentations, briefing documents, and supporting materials for management and external stakeholders.
- Assist management in preparing for and attending meetings, presentations, negotiations, and partnership discussions.
- Document meeting outcomes, prepare follow-up correspondence, and ensure agreed action items are followed through.
- Coordinate the development and execution of partnership initiatives from initial discussion through to implementation.
- Work with academic, operations, marketing, and administrative teams to ensure proposed programmes can be delivered effectively.
- Support the preparation and coordination of Memoranda of Understanding, collaboration agreements, programme proposals, and related documentation.
- Coordinate programme launches, academic forums, workshops, corporate engagements, and other partnership-related activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and identify opportunities to expand collaborations.
- Monitor partnership progress, deliverables, timelines, and performance indicators and provide regular updates to management.
- Conduct basic market and industry research to identify emerging opportunities in education, professional development, training, research, and institutional collaboration.
- Support business development initiatives involving new markets, programmes, institutional partners, and strategic projects.
- Maintain accurate partnership records, proposal pipelines, contact databases, and project documentation.
- Represent Crux Institute professionally when engaging with external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Education, International Relations, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant working experience, preferably involving partnerships, business development, programme management, education, consulting, corporate relations, or stakeholder engagement.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional proposals, presentations, reports, and business correspondence.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including confidence in communicating with senior executives, academics, government representatives, and institutional partners.
- Good project coordination and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple discussions, proposals, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Ability to understand a business or partnership opportunity and translate it into a structured proposal and implementation plan.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on commitments and deadlines.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, presentation software, and other digital productivity tools.
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with management and cross-functional teams.
- Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience within higher education, training, government relations, consulting, or professional services would be an advantage.
- Experience preparing proposals, tender submissions, partnership agreements, or programme documentation would be highly advantageous.
- An advanced qualification is an advantage but not essential.
