About the role

Medisun Planet Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Developer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in developing and advancing our water and waste engineering initiatives. As a Project Developer, you will be instrumental in identifying opportunities, conceptualising solutions, and steering projects from inception through to implementation, contributing significantly to our company's growth and innovation in the sustainable engineering sector.

2. MAIN PURPOSE

As a Project Developer, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring alignment with client needs, company goals, and industry standards. This includes managing resources, mitigating risks, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes within time and budget constraints.

3. CORE RESPONSIBILITIESProject Development & Management

• Lifecycle Execution: Plan, organize, and execute project lifecycle phases, from conceptualization to commissioning.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to align project goals with company objectives.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution.

Technical Application & Support

• Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in the planning and implementation of projects involving electrical systems, power generation, or marine propulsion technologies.
• Design Validation: Review and validate technical drawings, designs, and configurations to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

Sales & Client Engagement

• Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities by building strong relationships with governmental and commercial clients.
• Pre-Sales Support: Support sales efforts by preparing proposals, technical presentations, and financial analyses.
• Contract Management: Negotiate project terms and manage contracts effectively to achieve cost control and profitability.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Testing & Commissioning: Oversee testing, trials, and commissioning of project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards.
• Documentation: Implement and maintain project documentation for audits, certifications, and endorsements.

Risk Management

• Mitigation Strategies: Develop strategies to mitigate risks, including cost overruns, technical challenges, and schedule delays.
• Financial Controls: Apply currency hedging and other financial risk management tools to safeguard project profitability.

4. CRITICAL INTERFACESInternal Teams

• Project Teams: Collaborate closely to define goals, track progress, and ensure deliverables align with organizational objectives.
• Engineering & Technical Teams: Work together to review designs, implement solutions, and troubleshoot issues during project execution.
• Sales & Marketing Teams: Align project scopes with client requirements and market strategies to support business growth.
• Operations & Support Teams: Ensure smooth handover and integration of project deliverables into ongoing operations.

External Stakeholders

• Clients & End Users: Engage to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction with deliverables.
• Vendors & Suppliers: Coordinate procurement, delivery schedules, and quality standards for project-related resources and materials.
• Regulatory & Compliance Bodies: Interface to ensure adherence to industry standards, laws, and certifications required for project approval.

Leadership & Management

• Executive Communication: Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leaders to support strategic decision-making.
• Resource Alignment: Collaborate to secure resources, define priorities, and align project goals with the company vision.

Quality, Risk, Procurement & Logistics

• Quality & Risk Management Teams: Partner during testing/validation phases to meet quality standards; proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Logistics & Procurement Teams: Ensure timely acquisition and delivery of necessary materials, tools, and equipment within budget constraints.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
