We have an Immediate Opening Senior OutSystems Developer (Low-Code) with our reputed Client.

Role Summary

· We are seeking an experienced Senior OutSystems Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical low-code applications supporting defence and government programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in digital transformation initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, cybersecurity teams, and project managers to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available applications.

· The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in the OutSystems platform, strong software engineering fundamentals, and prior experience working within highly regulated environments such as defence, aerospace, government, security, or critical infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using the OutSystems Low-Code Platform.
• Implement scalable and reusable components, modules, and integrations.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and application designs.
• Perform code reviews and enforce development best practices.

Solution Architecture & Integration

• Collaborate with architects to define application architecture and technical roadmaps.
• Develop integrations with APIs, enterprise systems, databases, ERP platforms, and third-party applications.
• Optimise application performance, security, and maintainability.
• Support DevOps and CI/CD practices for application deployment.

Defence & Security Compliance

• Ensure applications comply with defence-sector security standards and governance requirements.
• Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
• Follow secure development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices.
• Support implementation of authentication, authorisation, encryption, and audit controls.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, cybersecurity teams, and end users.
• Contribute to effort estimation, solution sizing, and technical proposals.
• Support UAT, production releases, and post-go-live activities.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of software development experience.
• Minimum 8 years hands-on OutSystems development experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale low-code applications.
• Experience working on Defence, Government, Aerospace, Public Sector, Security, or Highly Regulated Projects.
• Experience leading technical teams or acting as a Senior Developer / Technical Lead.

Technical Skills

• OutSystems 11 Platform Development.
• Service Studio and Integration Studio.
• REST & SOAP API integration.
• SQL Server / Oracle / PostgreSQL databases.
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Application lifecycle management (ALM).
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Microservices and API-driven architecture.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or private cloud environments).

Security Skills

• Secure coding principles.
• OWASP Top 10 awareness.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Security compliance and audit readiness.
• DevSecOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer Certification.
• OutSystems Professional Developer Certification.
• OutSystems Technical Lead Certification.
• Experience with defence procurement or military systems projects.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture principles.
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with classified or sensitive information environments.
