Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing efficiency, productivity improvement, and operational excellence within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will work closely with Production, Process, Equipment, Quality, and Industrial Engineering teams to optimize resource utilization, improve production flow, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational targets.
What You Will Do
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, throughput, and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on cycle time reduction, cost optimization, waste elimination, and capacity improvement.
- Conduct manpower planning, workload analysis, and resource optimization to maximize manufacturing performance.
- Perform time studies, line balancing, and workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and improve production flow.
- Monitor manufacturing KPIs such as output, utilization, cycle time, productivity, OEE, and yield performance.
- Collaborate with Production, Process, Equipment, and Quality teams to implement process improvements and corrective actions.
- Support capacity planning activities to ensure manufacturing readiness for customer demand and business growth.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and operational excellence initiatives across the production floor.
- Analyze production data and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
- Participate in automation and digitalization projects to improve manufacturing effectiveness and reduce manual dependency.
- Prepare reports and presentations on productivity improvement, cost savings, and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and semiconductor manufacturing requirements.
What You Need to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or Continuous Improvement roles within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Fresh graduates with strong internship experience in semiconductor manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret manufacturing data.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing industries.
- Exposure to automation, digitalization, or smart manufacturing initiatives.
- Experience leading productivity improvement or cost reduction projects.
- Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, Throughput, Yield, Cycle Time, and Utilization.
- Green Belt or Lean certification will be an added advantage.
