About the role:

The role as “Head of Nature Based Solutions” at Hexagon’s green tech venture R-evolution spans across commercial sales success, scientific leadership, and customer lead product design for the nature based solution product portfolio with primary focus on Green Cubes. The person are closing deals directly with customers, building the ecological and methodological science foundation the business is built on, and shape the design and innovation leadership with customer lead development. The person act as the innovation lead connecting sales, ecosystem partners and product design.

The role reports to President of Hexagon R-evolution and work across the Hexagon group.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Business Development & Deal Closure

• Own and drive sales pipeline for Green Cubes and similar nature-based solution products, from qualification, signed contract and delivery. Personally lead, close and deliver strategic, high-value deals with enterprise and institutional customers.
• Ensure speed of sales, innovation and delivery in partnership with the broader Hexagon commercial organizations. Support development of commercial models and go-to-market strategy for nature-based offerings.
• Run industry events, develop promotion assets, drive customer engagements and lead negotiations as the senior commercial voice for Hexagon R-evolution.

2.      Science, Methodology & Ecosystem Partnerships

• Develop and continuously refine the scientific and measurement technology methodology underpinning Green Cubes and related products, ensuring rigor, credibility and alignment with recognized standards. Example, Nature Positive Index (NPI) methodology and expanding into relevant regulatory local and international frameworks.

• Lead research into emerging biodiversity and ecosystem assessment standards, piloting new data and data captured processes, and translating findings into structured frameworks that can be applied consistently across client engagements and promoting Hexagon R-evolution as an industry leader in the field. • Ensure methodologies remain defensible and auditable, and represent the company's scientific approach to customers, auditors and regulators. Example Green Cubes methodology.

3.      Product Design, Innovation & Customer-led Development

• Lead rapid prototype development and concept design translating client and science lead direction into continuous improvement of Green Cubes and adjacent products, handover to software builders lead by the VP of Product Development.

• Run innovation pilots and full delivery of short cycle support & efficiency tools. Balance scientific integrity, commercial viability and customer usability in every product decision with the commercial product and delivery teams.

• Identifying, testing, and embedding innovative approaches that strengthen the group's competitive position and delivery capability. Example lead and translate AI into practical, scalable capabilities.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in nature-based solutions, biodiversity, forestry, environmental technology, or related fields, including senior stakeholder-facing roles.
• Proven ability to engage and influence executive, customer, scientific, regulatory and ecosystem stakeholders at a global level.
• Proven track record in business development, customer engagement and closing complex commercial deals.
• Strong understanding of environmental measurement methodologies (TNFD, GRI, NPI)
• Experience working with GIS platforms and sensor data from ALS, TLS  and in-situ. 
• Ability to build strategic partnerships with customers, research institutions and industry stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional and international projects.
• Willing to travel internationally as required.
