Key Responsibilities

• Handle and oversee full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) and month-end closing.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all accounts and financial records are accurate and completed within deadlines.
• Review journal entries, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions and accounting adjustments.
• Manage and review AP activities, including supplier invoices, staff claims, petty cash, payment processing and vendor reconciliation.
• Manage and monitor AR activities, including customer invoicing, collections, receipts, aging reports and account reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, cash flow reports and variance analysis for management review.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with MFRS/IFRS, company policies and internal controls.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and relevant authorities on accounting, audit, tax and statutory matters.
• Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents and provide assistance during internal and external audits.
• Assist with tax computation, SST submission and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Perform regular balance sheet and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
• Review and maintain proper vendor and customer master data and ensure supporting documents are complete and properly authorized.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls and reporting efficiency.
• Support finance system enhancements, automation and SOP implementation.
• Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members, including reviewing their accounting work.
• Work closely with other departments to resolve financial, payment, billing and operational issues.
