Job Summary

Manage airfreight import shipments independently, ensuring compliance with quality standards and efficient coordination of documentation, customs, and customer service to support seamless logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage airfreight import shipments independently, ensuring compliance with quality standards including documentation, booking, shipment control, transport insurance, accounting, and customs handling
• Communicate effectively with carriers, subcontractors, branch offices, and destination agents to coordinate shipment processes and resolve issues
• Prepare and verify full sets of export documents accurately to support shipment clearance and compliance
• Monitor daily shipment orders and provide timely pre-alerts to destination offices and agents
• Deliver professional customer support by addressing inquiries, handling complaints, and providing effective solutions
• Prepare and track offers to customers, ensuring accurate and timely follow-up
• Issue invoices and supporting documents to customers and agents with accuracy
• Review job costing for each shipment file to ensure profitability and prevent losses
• Manage import customs issues by liaising with relevant authorities and ensuring compliance
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned by management to support operational goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in airfreight import operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and shipment coordination
• Proficient knowledge of airway bills, customs regulations, and freight forwarding processes
• Skilled in preparing and verifying export documents accurately
• Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with carriers, agents, and customers
• Experience in handling customer complaints and delivering effective resolutions
