1. HDPE PIPE EXTRUSION PROCESS & LINE TROUBLESHOOTING

- Lead specialised, hands-on troubleshooting of HDPE pipe extrusion lines, including extruders, extrusion heads/dies, vacuum sizing tanks, cooling systems, haul-off units, cutters and other downstream equipment.
-Diagnose and resolve complex extrusion defects including wall-thickness variation, outside-diameter instability, ovality, surface roughness, melt fracture, sagging, shrink-back, internal stress and dimensional inconsistency.
- Establish, adjust and optimise extrusion process windows based on HDPE resin grade, pipe diameter, SDR classification and required production output.
- Calibrate critical process parameters including barrel and die temperature zones, screw speed, melt temperature, melt pressure, extrusion output, vacuum level, cooling-water temperature/flow and haul-off speed.
- Troubleshoot interactions between extrusion output, die tooling, vacuum sizing, cooling and haul-off speed to achieve stable pipe dimensions and consistent production.

2. HDPE PIPE TOOLING, SIZING & DIMENSIONAL CONTROL

- Provide specialist technical guidance on extrusion die, mandrel, sizing sleeve and tooling alignment for different HDPE pipe sizes.
- Optimise vacuum sizing and cooling conditions to maintain consistent outside diameter, wall thickness, roundness and pipe geometry.
- Investigate dimensional deviations and determine whether the root cause originates from material characteristics, tooling, extrusion parameters, vacuum sizing, cooling or downstream equipment.
- Support technical setup and process stabilisation for new pipe sizes, SDR classes, resin grades and product trials.
- Provide technical support for socket/belling operations, including heating, forming, dimensional stability and socket-fit requirements.

3. PROCESS OPTIMISATION & SCRAP REDUCTION

- Develop and standardise HDPE extrusion parameters and operating windows for different pipe sizes, resin grades and production conditions.
- Improve extrusion throughput and line efficiency while maintaining required pipe dimensional and quality specifications.
- Lead technical investigations into startup scrap, off-specification pipes, thickness variation, dimensional instability and recurring production defects.
- Conduct structured root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of extrusion and process-related failures.
- Identify opportunities to improve line speed, extrusion output, cooling efficiency, changeover time, material utilisation and overall production yield.
- Establish technical benchmarks for scrap percentage, output rate and process stability across production lines.

4. HDPE RESIN & MATERIAL PROCESSING

- Provide technical guidance on the processing characteristics of HDPE resin, masterbatch and approved material combinations used for pipe production.
- Evaluate the effect of resin characteristics and material changes on melt behaviour, extrusion stability, output, surface finish and dimensional consistency.
- Support production and QA/QC teams during new resin, masterbatch or material trials.
- Assist in establishing appropriate processing parameters when introducing new raw material grades or suppliers.

5. QUALITY, STANDARDS & TECHNICAL COMPLIANCE

- Provide specialist technical support to ensure HDPE pipe extrusion processes consistently meet applicable product dimensional and performance requirements, including ISO 4427-2 where applicable.
- Work closely with QA/QC to investigate non-conforming products and recurring quality issues and identify the underlying process cause.
- Establish technical process specifications covering temperature, pressure, screw speed, haul-off speed, vacuum and cooling parameters for different pipe products.
- Assist in developing and maintaining process control sheets, parameter standards, troubleshooting guides and technical work instructions for HDPE pipe production.

6. OPERATOR & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

- Conduct specialised, hands-on training for extrusion operators, line technicians and production personnel on HDPE pipe extrusion processes and troubleshooting.
- Train technical personnel to identify and correct extrusion instability, dimensional variation, vacuum sizing issues, cooling problems and haul-off-related defects.
- Provide on-site technical mentoring during line startup, product changeover, size change, process trials and major troubleshooting activities.
- Transfer specialised extrusion knowledge and establish systematic troubleshooting practices to strengthen the company's internal technical capability.

7. TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENT & PRODUCTION SUPPORT

- Lead technical improvement projects aimed at increasing HDPE pipe production capacity, process stability, product consistency and yield.
- Analyse production and process data to identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements to equipment, tooling, process parameters and operating methods.
- Provide technical recommendations to management regarding extrusion equipment, tooling modifications, process improvements and production-line upgrades.
- Support commissioning, optimisation and technical acceptance of new extrusion machinery, tooling and downstream equipment.
- Serve as the company's technical lead for HDPE pipe extrusion process troubleshooting and optimisation, providing specialist guidance to Production, QA/QC and Maintenance teams.

Pay: RM7,000.00 per month
